CONTACT LIST OF OSA MEMBERS If you want to be included on the following list please email me with your name, email address, the year that you left the Upper Sixth (or would have left the Upper Sixth if you left earlier) and a mini-biography (just two or three lines saying when you left BSN, what you did then and what you are doing now). Only include snailmail adddresses and telephone numbers if you are really sure you want them published to the whole wide world (not only BSNers read this page). Hopefully, this list will enable more members to easily keep in contact - maybe you will even renew some lost contacts.

Erin Lambert (now Oldaker)
[Class of 1994]
Hello! My name is Erin Oldaker (Formerly Erin Lambert).and I was at BSN with the class of 1994. My father was a missionary in Voorschoten and I attended while we were living there. We moved back to the US (West Virginia) shortly after the Gulf War began. I completed high school here, then went to University in WV and then in Tennessee for a short time. While attending University, I began working for the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) in 1997 and have been ever since. I met my husband at the FBI and we married in October 2001. In February 2002, we had our first child, Braeden Wesley, and then in May 2004 we had our daughter, Kyla Grace NIeta. My husband and I both work at the FBI. I would love to get back in touch with all of you, if you remember me! At the time, I was the only YANK attending BSN! Please email me!!!

A lot of things have happened since I wrote my last update in 2002. I am working for ExxonMobil as a supervisor and I have been on an assignment in Prague for the last 2 years and a half. It has been an enriching experience. From a personal point of view, things have also changed as I divorced from my first wife and remarried again. We are planning kids in the very very near future. So if anyone I know comes to Prague or goes to Brussels (I happen to be there every 6 weeks or so), Id be glad to meet them.

Hey there everyone! I was at the BSN from 1993 to 1995. I left to come back to the bright and sunny...Ottawa, Canada?! Yes, I was that Canadian chick with that truly, all-defining CANADIAN accent, eh! I graduated with my highschool diploma (Grade 12) in 1997 and then graduated from OAC (Grade 13) in 1998. I then went on to study and graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Social Sciences Concentrations in Criminolgy and Psychology in Spring 2003. I recently went back to school after having spent the past few years working and I am in the midst of completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Kingston, Canada. I went to school with Sarah Carter, Caroline Kube and a whole other bunch of hooligans. Yup, I did my teeny bopper years there but, had a whole lot of fun doing so. If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to email me.

I was at the BSN for about one year in '78\'79 and would have left in 1987 if I'd stayed to the end. I am married, living in Hertfordshire, two children (Anna and Tom) and work as a magazine publisher in London. Does anyone remember the teacher Mr Higgins (the cool dude, '50s rocker look). He taught me and I would love to hear from anyone who knew him or me.

Ended up at Edinburgh Uni, still here now actually, in my final year studying Sociology. Currently applying for random jobs and hopefully will end up in London along with the rest of the world when i graduate. I would really like to get in contact with any of my old mates from my year. I know i briefly saw James Owen at New Year a few years ago in Bournemouth but I totally didn't get a chance to have a chat.... Get involved and get emailing please! xxx

Scott Latham
[Year Group Unknown]
It is with geat sadness that we pass on the news that Scott Latham (BSN 1984 - 88) was killed in a road accident in September 1996. Scott, who after finishing school went into the music world, was well known to DJ's and clubgoers all over the world as "Madagascar" and "Sherwood". He also helped set up the record label "Ruff Definition". Scott, aged 23, was killed instantly when the car in which he was a passenger crashed through a hedge and hit a fence. Scott was only beginning his career but he had already released over 50 records and had been recently approached by EMI to remix a Bob Marley album. We pass on our condolences to Scott's family.

I heard about this website from my sister SoIe (also ex-BSN) and I must say it has brought a lot of great memories back. I left the BSN in 1985 to do the IB at Rijnlands Oestgeest and went on to study Psycology at Leiden University. In 1991 I left to study Graphic Design in Santiago, Chile where I've been ever since. At the moment I work as a Graphic Designer and I teach two courses (on Design) at a private Chilean University. I would really love to get in touch with my old friends and classmates where ever they may be (its been 10 years or more). Please write to me at the following E-mail address: dlathrop@mailexcite.com.

I graduated BSN in 1999. I did not get flying colours then, but as I joined NILAI INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE in Malaysia. I graduated with a major in Mass Communication and a minor in Psychology. After that did an Advance Certificate in English Language in British Council in Malaysia. Just to upgrade my English spelling and grammar. I worked for 2years as an English teacher in the international school here in Kuala Lumpur, then left teaching to pursue a career in investment and banking. Worked for 1year and 6months in MayBank, one of the top five banks in Malaysia.Worked as an Executive Accountant. Got bored of calculating and stressing my head, so currently am pursuing my career in a Real Estate Firm,as an Administration Executive. The workload is less, but handling big clients is quite a challenge. Am looking forward in advancement in my post. Hope to meet my old friends from 1999 BSN soon.

I was in the BSN from year 4 till 7, when I came back to Malaysia. Am now currently doing my 3rd year of Architecture, otherwise known as archi-torture! Next year I plan to take time off to travel before continuing my studies overseas, perhaps in the UK or canada. I still fondly remember my time in Holland, wonderful memories and fun times! Dressing up for Victorian Day, Mr. Blackford and his class projects of transforming the classroom into Apollo 13 or an Egyptian tomb :) I still keep in contact with Cynthia Ting and lydia Avenel, but I have no idea about anyone else from those good old days. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me, including any ex-teachers who remember this chubby little chinese girl in their class!

I am currently running a successful antiques business, having taken it over from my parents. I am selling most of my items online (check out 'Cherob' on www.ebay.com) as well as having opened a small 'shop' in the antique centre 'De Looier' in the heart of Amsterdam. Anyone visitig A'dam for a weekend is welcome to drop in! Not married as yet, not likely to in the forseeable future so I this allows me to travel abroad as often as I can (afford it). Have become an uncle twice over and by the end of the year there should be 2 more nephews or nieces. My brother Paul is in Seattle, Jane is still in Exeter and Neil now lives in Richmond, London. Would love to hear from anyone who can bother to email. Cheers!

After leaving BSN, went to Bath Uni where I studied Electronic Engineering. After finishing, went on a 6 month trip through South East Asia, and Australia, with brother John. Excellent! Came back a beach bum to start my PhD in Bath. After 3 years partying in the academic wilderness, I decided to get a real job. Joined a company selling network monitoring software to Telecommunications companies. As of Nov 2000, transferred over to Toronto in Canada on a 6 month assignment. Packed all the essentials for surviving the winter months (snowboard, hot-water bottle, decent music CDs). Great to so many familiar faces at the reunion. Anyone heading over this way should drop me an email.

Finally got round to writing something myself rather than relying on Mum and John keeping me up to date. Went off to Bristol Uni in 1987 to study medicine. Finished in 1993 and immediately set to work. Unfortunately having qualified you are still not trained to do anything in particular so m ore training to become a GP (but at least I was getting paid. Having qualified as a GP I changed tack and am now training to be a Public Health Doctor, which meant another year at University, this time in Cardiff (but again paid for). Am now working in an office seeing no patients enjoying myself hugely. Along the way I met my husband Pete who is a GP now, and we have a daughter Zoe who is coming up for 18 months. Look forward to hearing from everyone but I won't do consultations!

Hi all, I attended The English School at Tapijtweg in 1965-66, went back to Australia and then returned to the school at Parkweg from 1970-73. I left The English School at the end of 1973 and went home to Australia being dragged somewhat reluctantly around the globe by my father's work for the Australian Government. Apart from the every day school happenings I have fond memories of many nights spent at "John's", mad games of soccer anywhere, anytime and some crazy parties at places I can't remember. Following studies at University I joined the Australian Federal Public Service and have had some great jobs that have taken me all over Australia doing such things as managing projects in our remote territories of Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the Indian Ocean, managing a regional office in the Territory of Jervis Bay on the south coast of NSW and now helping to establish a national aerial firefighting resource as part of the response to recent disastrous bushfires. Couldn't see the sense in getting married so have been "going out" with Heather for 22 years. We own a house in Canberra and enjoy flyfishing, four wheel driving the outback and visiting New Zealand as often as possible (for more flyfishing). Still playing soccer, which was one of my passions while at the English School. Would love to hear from anyone around my time at school - Pip Curtis, Lawrence Wilcox, Martin Tomberg, Jon Tait, Bart Lelyveld, the Yeo brothers, Linda, Carol, Sue to name but a few.

I graduated from Exeter University in 1993 with a degree in History and Education and moved to Reigate in Surrey. I got a job teaching in a local girls' school and worked hard to pay off my debts whilst continuing my university lifestyle at weekends! I met George at a bash at the local cricket club in 1994 and haven't looked back! We got married in July 1998 and had a bouncing baby boy (10lbs!!) called Edward (Teddy to his mates) in November 1999. I now work part time setting up a Drama Department in a school down the road whilst Teddy goes to a local nursery and is obviously very bright! My sister Bronwen ('84) lives nearby with her bofriend John and my brother William ('87) is also local, working for a music company in Reigate - his wife Karen also works at my school and they have two gorgeous children Daniella (5 in April) and Benjamin (3 months). Owen ('83) is Mr Successful in South Africa where he lives with his wife Traci and their three children, Megan (8), Jesse (5) and Jake (3). I don't see much of people from the BSN except for Caroline Wood who was my bridesmaid and is Teddy's godmother and Rob Glendinning who is married to Sam (and is going to be a Daddy soon too!!) but would love to hear from anyone who would like to get in touch! Update February 2002: My husband George has recently got a job in Auckland, New Zealand, so we will be moving there lock, stock and barrel at the end of March 2002 (next month!!). Very excited, very scared! If anyone knows anyone who lives there (I have already contacted Chalky White) I would love some contacts! If anyone is visiting do look us up. We will be changing our e-mail address so will let you know once we're settled and hooked up to the net! Cheers!

Hello anyone who remembers me! I left the English School as it was then known in 1972 . I was the lousy rather overweight footballer and good friend of Pip and David Curtis-other people of whom I have fond memories are Eveline Cliff(nee Cox) wife of John Cliff and Mike Weston both still teachers at the school (how time flies!) and Joe Peters . My sister Lies also went to the school in the late sixties . Lies sadly passed away two years ago having spent many happy married years in Friesland. So what have I been up to these past 34 years?! After retaking two more A levels I went to teacher training college and gained a B Ed in French and Music after which I went to London University (Bedford College-now Royal Holloway) and completed a BA (Hons) degree in French and German. I taught in London for 5 years after which I joined the airline industry. British Caledonian was my first employer which eventually became British Airways. There I worked in sales then training management and ended up as an in charge trolley dolly before I retired last year. I live part in Richmond Surrey part in Mallorca with Barry (my partner of the last 28 years now my civil partner) . I now do a great deal of travelling (so what's changed!) and am about to start a Philosophy degree at the OU. For those who remember me from all those years ago- the physique is considerably diminished since those days hence I no longer resemble Mr. Blobby! Love to hear from old friends and acquaintances mentioned above in addition to Konrad Bartelski,Paul Gyswijt,Peter Lawler, Paul Kafka and anyone else whose names escape me.

After completing my A levels in the summer of 1981, I moved back to Israel, to join the Academic Reserve program: I completed my B.Sc. in Maths and Computer Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1984, and joined the Israeli Defence Forces. I spent the next fifteen years there, dealing with Operations Research in the Air Force. Along the way I earned my M.Sc. in Computer Science, and even published a book, "The Parallel Evolution of Parallel Processors", published in the US in 1994, which was based on my Masters thesis. I married Ayelet in 1990, and we have three children: Yifat, born 1995; Roey, born 1998, and Einav, born 2006. Having reached the rank of Lt. Colonel, I took a sharp turn, left the defence establishment and joined the hi-tech industry - first at Comverse for several years and now (2008) at Radware. I specialize in defining and implementing development processes, and the translation of organization strategy into operational work methods. I have also been deeply involved in setting up Off-shore Development Centres, in India: the British orientation and the cross-cultural experience I have gained at the BSN have been of great use doing this!

I started work with Andersen Consulting after graduating, and since then have worked for a couple of US banks in London: First Chicago, and now JP Morgan, where I specialised in managing IT projects. I got married to a great guy called Andrew in February 1999, and we now have a house in Fulham. Andrew and his brother own a pub and a micro brewery on the Kings Road in London called The Imperial (near Chelsea football ground) - I can thoroughly recommend it for a great night out, and of course for its beer! I would like you to add me to the list on class of 1981 I guess. I forget which year I would have graduated from the British School, but I graduated USA High School in 1981 and recognize names in your lists for 1981 and 1982. I was just visiting the school a few weeks ago on a trip and spent some valuable time with Mr. Tong and Mr. Cliff. It was really great to see them. It has been many years! I left the school December 1977 to return to America. I entered the school April 1975 as one of the first Americans to do so. So Mr. Buckley (the Headmaster at the time) told me (I think?). Anyway, here goes a biography and you can shorten as you like. I left the British School December 1977 and did not get a chance to experience life in the "new" school in Voorschoten. Upon my return to America, I went to High School in Randolph, Vermont where I learned to ski very well! I also played varsity basketball and led our team to state finals undefeated where we lost our first game of the season - the one that mattered most! Oh well! Then I went to Michigan State University. Looking for work in Boston, Massachusetts, I joined United Parcel Service where I worked for 5 years. In 1991 I attended Graduate School at Bentley College where I earned my Master Degree in International Marketing. I then moved to California where I did many things. In 1996 I joined United Airlines and worked my way up to an Account Executive in Sales and was transferred to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have been single all this time! Then I met Nikki, a beautiful British girl working for United Airlines in Chicago headquarters. We dated for 2 years and got married last month. I also got laid off last month, so many things are happening now. I am also in the United States Navy Reserve and am currently serving some time in Tokyo, Japan. I will be "home for Christmas" and then starting a new career in 2002! I welcome any e-mails and apologize in advance if I do not reply immediately. I will try. I look forward to hearing from you and what you have been up to! I assume everyone still looks the same!!!

Hi Folks! Just thought that I'd drop you all a line to tell you what I've been upto over the last few years. I studied English at Durham Uni for a year but didn't like it much, so I went to UCL for a year but didn't like that much either - Uni wasnt really my thing so I left. I'm still living in London but working in a 24 hour bakery. Its really hard work but I work with a great crowd, I've been learning all the tricks of the trade ( baking brownies is my forte), sometimes they even let me drive the delivery van! Anyway, as most of you will probably already know my finance, Charlotte is expected to give birth in July so obviously we are both very excited about that! I was working as a Marketing Consultant when we had a mad idea. Sick of the rat race and the M25, we decided to sell our house, have bought a 1975 VW Camper Van, and we are going travelling `round the UK and Europe for 6 months! Update September 2005: Having travelled for 7 months the money ran out so we had to return to reality! We have now settled in Milford in Derbyshire and love living on the doorstep of the Peaks. I am back in the rat race working for Burtons Foods as Category Development Controller working with ASDA - so I spend all my time on the M1 between Leeds and St Albans. STILL looking to get back in touch with Karen Ashbury and Gavin davidson - where are you?!! Chris is doing well and is working as a classroom assistant with disabled kids.

I would have left the BSN in 1999 but instead came over to boarding school in Cheltenham in 1994. I left after A levels to have a GAP year, spending 5 months in East Africa - 3 months teaching at a rural primary school in Uganda and 2 months travelling around Uganda , Kenya , Tanzania and Zanzibar . Without doubt the best holiday of my life, it included everything from white water rafting to improvising glue for an art lesson with flour and water to chimpanzee trekking. I then went to Bristol University , qualifying as a doctor in 2005. I'm currently living in South Wimbledon, London with my boyfriend Peter Ashby, and working as a junior psychiatrist. If you're passing through London or live round here, do send me an email. I'd love to hear from anyone I used to know at the BSN.

After 4 years in Jakarta pretending to suffer the Asian monetary crisis and exploring for gas with Premier Oil, we have now moved to brown and mountainous Muscat, Oman, complete with beautiful beaches and plenty of camping and off-roading. Still playing rugby (touch), tennis, running etc., but the golf here is not as green and luxurious as in Indonesia. We are sure to be making the annual summer trek into Holland or UK to escape the heat here, but will continue to the receive family and friends for the winters in Oman when the climate is fantastic. I left BSN in 1980 to read Geography at Nottingham University. After temping for a year in sales and procurement, I moved into computing and have been quite settled there ever since. It's been about 10 years of IT application development with BT, and I am still enjoying it. With the IT industry changing so quickly from year to year, there is little opportunity to get bored or become complacent. I am presently leading a team of Oracle Web developers on various Intranet projects. Since hanging up my football boots (getting too slow), most weekends are spent on the softball field with some occasional success. Other activities include badminton and re-decorating our new house, the latter being a high priority given the previous owner's obsession with pink combined with as many clashing colours as could be accommodated. See you in October 2000?

I left Helen Sharman School in Assen in 1998 after being in nursery and reception. I lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for four years, through grades 1 and 2 (year 2 and 3) at the Jakarta International School (JIS). I now live in Oman, and my school is the British School Muscat. I just met one of my nursery teachers, Jane Warton who is visiting from the Hague. Also a big hello to ex-class mates Charlie Pearson in Assen; Rebecca Moss who I stayed with in Melbourne Australia, and also Max Sherlock who I visited in Bangkok last year.

[Class of 1982]
Unbelieveable after all these years, I suddely got the urge to look up old school friends. That means starting at BSN. I started my school life at the English School, Tapijtweg in The Hague in 1968 at the age of 4 (my god, nearly 43!). Went on to the Middel School where Keith Tong influenced my life (considering my sister, Melanie Longdon was a favourite of Keiths) and on to Parkweg where we girls sat and stared through the window at the French school boys. The new building in Voorschoten was a great improvement even though Parkweg was "cosy". Drama and French (Mike Weston) were real favourites!! I left BSN after o'levels in 1980 to go to boarding school in Wantage. There I finished A'levels and several secreterial courses. Came back to Holland at the age of 21 as I could not settle in GB. Since then I have been doing all sorts - working in furniture shop (antique wood), health insurance and now I am working in a mans world - cars! I'm the customer relations department for Hyundai in the Netherlands. Loving every minute of it! And also being mother to 5 wonderful kids (Dani‰lla 20, Kimberley 18, Mandy 17, Lo‹s 12 and the baby Ben 14 months) and having a great partner, Patrick life is treating me just fine. I would love to hear from old friends and teachers. I left after o'levels in 1980. Lisa Longdo

I left BSN in 1987 and did two years of a three year course at Reading University. Went off and got a job doing 3D computer modelling for commercial flight simulators. That lasted for over 4 years during which I saw most of the world on site trips to customers. After a 2 year stay at a company called Division in Bristol, I'm now back in the flight simulator business with Rockwell Collins (used to be Evans & Sutherland). I got married in September 2000 to Paula Chacksfield, an English Rose from West Sussex, and in 2001 the company moved us to Salt Lake City, in Utah, USA. [Class of 1940]
Attended the English school at The Hague, 1938-40. I'm not sure whether I went by name of Luis MacGregor (most likely), or Luis Fernandez MacGregor or Luis Fernandez-Herlihy (latter is current one). In 1939, I was awarded a badge that I still have that labelled me "Head Pupil". I lived at vanAlkemadelaan 215. Following German invasion, my family and I returned to Mexico, then USA by a circuitous route. Eventually I graduated from the Harvard Medical School and served as a physician at the Lahey Clinic in Boston for over 30 years. Am now retired. Gwen Brunton-Jones was my headmistress (was delighted to read about her in The Archive) and I well remember when she married Eugen Emaljanow. The couple were often guests at our house. My father, a Mexican (he was Mexican Consul in Rotterdam) spoke poor English and no Russian. Emaljanow spoke only Russian. Yet they managed to converse, partly by sign language, and seemed to be telling each other stories that sent them into gales of laughter. There was another Miss Jones (Welsh, I believe) who taught me maths. My principal teacher and tormentor (but a wonderful teacher) was Miss Davis or Davies. Shortly before the invasion, she was scheduled to marry the Turkish Ambassador, whose name I've forgotten, but whose son was in my class (was he Mustafa Ali) and who expressed himself best in German--often telling Miss Davis: "Ich bin so muder". Gordon White (USA) and Lorna Langley (Australia or NZ) were other classmates. My special chum was Ben Cheng, whose father was a justice in the International Court at The Hague. I have lost track of all of these people. Would be pleased to hear about them.

Quick synopsis of what I have been doing since my time at BSN (1979-1988). After leaving BSN in the 6th form of 1988, I worked in Germany for the summer and had a fantastic time - staying with 2 different families. In the October I went to King's College London University to read Biomedical Science - love living in London. Met my husband, Paul at King's and we married in 1993, when we moved out of London to Kingston-upon-Thames in Surrey. I was working as an Information Manager for a scientific and patent information company in the city but gave up to become a freelance medical editor/translator when out first son Charles was born in March 2000. I love being a full-time mum and am expecting our second baby in February 2002. I have tried to get in touch with Emma Bonham via her Email address but with no luck - any ideas?. For 13 years now I have been organising parties and DJ-ing at various clubs - something that I will be giving up after december 2004 as I am going to start a new study yet again. Photography has also been accompanying me through the years after BSN, and I still enjoy it very much.

Better late than never I was always told and I have certainly left it very late before trying to get back in touch with friends from long ago. No excuses I'm afraid, so here goes. SINCE LEAVING THE BSN, great opening line. I went to Nottingham Uni to read History for 3 years after taking a year out to work and travel. In 1993 having successfully graduated I went to work in France for a ski company to improve my french. Without any knowledge of the hotel industry I found myself running a small hotel in the village of La Clusaz in the Alps. I was a terrible hotel manager but I got on well with the clients if not the chef. I stayed in France for just under 2 years running different hotels in different ski resorts - a good laugh at times but not a career. In 1995 I moved to B'ham to do a PGCE at the Uni. I lived with Joe Bourne for 7 months who was busy creating medical mayhem with others. Since then I have been teaching History at Loughborough Grammar School although I spend as much time on the sports field as I can, coaching rugby. I hate marking but I run an annual ski trip and get massive holidays so that makes up for it. I am planning to make it to this years reunion in London so I hope to see I few familiar faces even if, like me, the hairline isn't quite where it used to be. Take care, and I hope to see some of you soon. [Update December 1999] I 've moved again. I am now living in Bristol - a small step up from Loughborough I know. I'm still teaching and still enjoying my holidays. Rob is is in the process of finding a new job but where in the world he will end up is anyone's guess. Hope you are all well. Take care Love Paulx.

After finally getting 6 '0' levels & then 3 'A' levels in the sixth form, I went to Lancaster University & got a history degree. I then went to live in Liverpool for all the wrong reasons and ended up working in a Dept store for several years, where I met my wife, Joyce. After a brief spell in insurance , I got a job in the civil service in Blackpool and we lived there for nine years. We have recently moved to Bristol with the job and are busy settling in to our new house. We've got 2 children (Heather, aged 13 and Alexander, aged 7). I have spoken recently to Mark Shimmin, who is living in Manchester with his wife and two children. I lost contact with everyone else over time but it is good to read about Peter Meadows ( I won't mention mopeds & crashes if you won't) , Keith Webb, Carol Hurd/Mike Simms and Johan van Beest. I would love to hear from anyone else who was there at the time. If anyone is interested, I made a list of nearly all the names of the people in the following year pictures, Fifth Year 75/76, Fifth Year 76/77, & Upper Sixth 78/79.

I found the URL for the BSN in my filofax the other day and decided to give it a whirl - I never realised how much I had forgotten about my mis-spent youth! Anyhow.. to bring you up to date, after leaving BSN I took a year out before studying History of Art at a small college of London University (now closed sadly). After leaving university I ended up in Dubai for several years as my parents were living there at the time, and got hired by NBC News, a US network who were there covering the tanker war at the time. I then moved back to London where I worked for NBC and CNN before leaving again, this time to live in Cyprus. From Cyprus I travelled a great deal for news (Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait 6 weeks after I got there!) before finally returning to London around 7 years ago. I now live in North-West London, with my husband Michael. Unfortunately moving around means it's been hard to keep in touch with old BSN'ers, (though I do see Claire Thomson, and from time to time Pilar Domingo and Fi Young). However it would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me. I would love to know if anyone at all knows the whereabouts of Hyo Young Yeon, who was in my year. I lost contact with her many years ago, and would dearly love to find out where she is.

Hii!!! Wow, I never knew this site existed!! I just found out by pure accident! :D Everyone who leaves the BSN should be told about this site!! I Joined the Junior BSN in January 1996 when I was 4, nearly 5. I started Reception in the old building BSN used to have and then in yr 1, moved to the new one. I spent 7 years in the school and I loved every minute of it! I have many happy memories being there especially with my friends!! I remember all the international days which made everyone feel unique because we were all from different countries and we got to express ourselves from our native country. After Year 6 in 2003, I moved to England, London, for a year and then, after my 5th time moving, I finally moved back to my native country, Ireland, Limerick. After I left the BSN it made me realise how lucky I was to experince being in a school, even a class, with at least 10 different nationalities in it!! I know I will never experince that again. I am now in 5th year (Yr 12) after doing my Junior Cert (GCSE) and skipping Fourth Year (Yr 11) - You do the GCSE a year earlier in Ireland. I will hopefully be doing my Leaving Cert (A Levels) next year, where I will be doing 8 subjects, and go to a university called UL which is just down my road! During my French Junior Cert (GCSE) Exam I got a shock when I saw what was one of the comprehensions on my paper...It was about the BSN!!! I recognised everyone that was in the photo given! It was scary really!! I could not stop smiling during that exam, it was so funny - What a coincidence!!! These were the classes I was in; Reception - Ms Hales, Year 1 - Ms Crook, Year 2 - Ms Bate, Year 3 - Ms Arrindale, Year 4 - Mrs van Rewevijk (I was never sure how to spell her name :S) Year 5 - Ms Bate (Again) and Year 6 - Mrs Francis. If anyone remembers me from the BSN I would really love to hear from you!! Byee for now!! XxxXxxX

After leaving school I travelled to Australia (the slow way) where I put my languages to the test! Thanks John Cliff. Came back, went to Middlesex Poly and studied Graphic Design for four long(ish) years. Started a Graphic Design Partnership in 1986 and still going strong with 20 people. (I knew 'art' would come in handy!) Still drumming when I can and still keep in touch with the odd person from the "class of 79" notably Anthony Clarke and Phil and karen Cross. Am engaged to a beautiful woman called Wendy and enjoying life in the countryside at High Wycombe. Are you still there Richard Cunliffe?

I left the BSN in 1994. Qualified as a nurse in 1998 from Kings College London worked at both Guys and St Thomas's hospital, till I finally moved down to Bridport in Dorset. I got married last year to Darren whom I met whilst on a girlie holiday in Turkey. Pete Grzonka and Liam Crellin both came to the wedding, even though I managed to arrive before they did!! Braved it and went back to university last year to train as an anaesthetic nurse. Love it, much easier when your patients are asleep! At the moment I am on maternity leave, I now have a gorgeous 5 month old little girl called Ellie, I love being a mum and can't imagine life to be any better. Mum and Dad have just moved down (baby sitters!!) I've just got back from seeing my brother who now lives in Chicago. Lost touch with most people now, would love to catch up with Kelly, so if any one knows of her whereabouts?

After leaving BSN, I studied Chemical Engineering at Delft University and completed my thesis work at Imperial College in London. Having survived that, I moved to Brussels to work as a Project Manager for Procter & Gamble. As of September 1999, I am back to living as a student again! I quit my job as a Project Manager with Procter & Gamble in Brussels and am doing my MBA at Harvard Business School. Out here we are all affected by "dot com fever" and everyone wants to start up their internet company and cash in quickly! It's October and it is FREEZING already!! (now I understand some of the benefits of Stanford). Send me an email if you're coming to Boston, or if inclined, check out my amateur website (yes Keith Tong, it's not as amazing as yours...yet) at http://mba2001.hbs.edu/smenon - my hit counter needs to increase.

A long time ago in a country far, far away... I was in BSN until 1995, at which time I returned to South Africa. I'm currently working on finishing my thesis as quickly as possible (for a masters' degree in electronic engineering - digital signal processing more specifically). Maybe by this time next year I will be somewhere else completely (San Francisco for example), or still here in South Africa.

I have kept in touch with most of my friends from school, however there are a few that I have lost touch with, including Matthew Dodd, Thea Cotterill and Emma Van Klaveren who I would love to track down. However, I would love to hear from anyone else from my year who I have lost touch with.

Still living in snobby but nice - especially on a sunny summer's day - Henley on Thames with wife Vanda (Hawkyard - BSN 1981)and two children aged 7 Nevine and 4 Joshua. Now working for and co-founder director of a small company which is developing a new technology which is going to revolutionise... (oops sorry, I've been raising money for the last month and having written and learnt my script I cant help myself). Enjoying the challenge and thrill of working with Russian co-directors whose cultural/business background is different to anything I had ecountered, even among the hundred nationalities of the BSN. Also have Neil Hawkyard (BSN 1987)living with us at the moment, now a pilot for Easy Jet and main squash adversary. Stefano Mica (BSN 1984) married the delightful Christiana last September and now spends all of his spare time (i.e. when not working in a villa in Frascati processing satellite data ) very happily running/cycling or skiing up or down mountains. Stefano recently painted a fresco on his ceiling to resemble a sunny sky with the odd cloud. For those who remember him... yes, head very much still firmly in the sky.

I was at the BSN from 80-84....and despite rumours to the contrary, (it was thought I went to the Naval Academy) I went to the Air Force Academy in Colorado (that's a county of the former colonies). After a grueling 4 years, I managed to graduate with a Bachelor of Science and proceeded to flight training. After figuring out up versus down and how to pull a barrell roll without killing myself, the powers that be figured that as long as I could navigate my way around the airways without getting lost they might as well give me my pilot wings. My first assignement was to Griffiss AFB NY flying a KC-135R Stratotanker. It is basically a big gas station in the sky. Yes, that's right, I pass Gas for a living! No sooner had I qualified in position that I started travelling, and still haven't stopped. I spent 5 years at NY and due to the base closures I am now stationed At McConnell AFB KS ( Land of OZ). I participated in the Gulf War, and have been to the Middle East 9 times in the subsequent years. I have spent time flying out of Mildenhall in England, Turkey, Spain, Azores, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Panama, Alaska, Japan and France. While supporting Deny Flight over Bosnia, I refueled some Dutch F-16's, and who do I encounter over the Adriatic Sea, but Peter Borgman.(fellow BSNer) Unfortunately we couldn't talk much at twenty five thousand feet, and shortly thereafter Peter had to return to Holland for the Birth of their first Kid. Wouldn't you know I just recently ran into him again, this time during a NATO exercise in sunny Iceland. Looks like he's expecting kid #2 shortly. Way to go Peter.! Anyway I'm back in Kansas, trying to take care of all my paperwork.....Please drop me a line

Peter Moogk. I was born in 1943 in England but grew up in Canada. From 1954 to 1956 I attended the English School when it was located in Scheveningen and only provided instruction at the primary level. At the time my father was the Canadian Military and Air Attache to the Netherlands. I have very fond memories of our forceful teacher Phyllis Donaldson and of the music classes provided by Miss Macdona from her piano stool [choruses of "Tit-Willow" and "Funiculi-funicula"]. The school had a cosmopolitan student body (plenty of friends from diverse backgrounds) and a sometimes-improvised curriculum with entertaining field trips to museums and elsewhere. I subsequently attended Quaker School Eerde and secondary schools in Canada. Later I studied at universities in Regina, Montreal and Toronto. From the University of Toronto I obtained Ph.D. in 1973. In 1965 I married Susan, a diplomat's daughter who also had an itinerant childhood. We have three children. In 2005 I retired from the University of British Columbia where, for 35 years, I taught in the History Department. I presently live in Vancouver, B.C.

Like many others have stumbled on this website last night, and have found it difficult to disconnect. Was at the BSN between 1978-1983 and left at the end of upper sixth. What have I done since? Joined the army (like most Israelis). At the time girls had to do 2 years - however since I liked it so much, I went to officer's course and stayed on for another 1 and 1/4 (I am a lieutenant). Went to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem to read English Linguistics and German. Married (to Natan) and have two children: Gal (f) who is 10 and Amir (m) who is 8. Great kids (most of the time)! Working full time and just managing to juggle between work and home, baking (I love making bread) and loads more activities. By the way, Ronel my brother, is also in Israel. Has a son (born July 2000) and expecting a daughter sometime round Feb 2002. I'm still in touch with Monique Nuyts (now Hawkins) and Tina Scoon (now Willekest). Would love to hear from any old 1983'ers.

I am currently working for "Accenture - formerly known as Andersen Consulting" (which hardly represents a change...). I am still not married, I still live in Lisbon (although I have been in Brussels for a short period recently) and I still concentrate on working, travelling and partying. Blimey a blast from the past! I left BSN in '84 (aged 17 having started when I was 6), after sort of finishing the lower sixth (should have left in '85 like my twin brother). Having completed a more practical course at Barnet college I went to Middlesex Poly (Ended up being a university, so my certificate looks much more respectable) and actually managed to get a degree. Uni days were spent playing rugby, squash and in my final year hockey (even managed to play with Shaun Curley and Imran Shewani. Olympic medallists, but I probably spelled their names wrong (Nothing changes!)). From there I found a job at Honda working in the logistics department (Glorified checkout person, but booking goods in instead of out, and managing inventory) I still work there but now I buy pressed components from exotic places ranging from India & Turkey, to back street sacks in Birmingham. I'm due to get married this summer to Karen (No one knows her (I hope)). David my twin brother has been married for ages and has two kids. He currently works in London as a recruitment consultant for the IT Industry. Jon Page, now also married with 2 kids (I think, sorry Jon for not remembering) is working in the far east. He rings and mails occasionally telling me off for not keeping on touch. Anyway I think that covers the last 17 years quite aptly. I Still play a lot of sport and despite the length of this mail would rather talk than write. Get in touch if you remember me!

I left BSN in 1987 in order to live in the UK. After finishing A-levels and getting expelled from school I studied Law at SOAS at the U of L. After the studies and sporting extremely long hair and plenty of earrings along with a penchant for Guinness, I returned to Holland to live in Amsterdam. I completed a Masters of Law at the University of Amsterdam in 1994 and worked for Arthur Andersen and Reed-Elsevier in various mysterious guises. After 5 good years and the proud owner of a precious Ajax season ticket (still got it!) and too much access to coffeeshops I decided to return to London where I've been since. I've had a few jobs as International roadshow organiser and now as a software product marketeer..... BSN memories: Extreme class cheekiness with Dominic Birch and Scott Latham - especially causing havoc in Dutch class (Sorry Mr. Birch! It was Pieter-Bas's fault! ;-)) Football sessions on the tenniscourts and team allegiance arguments after. Miss Meek the very attractive history teacher. Rugby tours. And fancying Kirsty McKerrigan (sp?) and Brigitte Vonk. Don't worry, I'm now happily married to a lovely Glasgae lass (since 2000)

After completing my A levels in 1989, i went to bristol university for a 3 year physics course, which i completed, and then addded one more year to get a Masters in applied physics (also bristol). After a couple of months of doing various odds & ends, i decided to start a PhD course, and ended up in austria, in the lovely town of Graz, where i got my PhD in 1996. Deciding to do someting different i worked on various small projects, before landing in Holland (again), and getting a job at KPN telecom in The Hague. I have moved about within KPN, to a point where I now work as a service developer maintaining and developing their adsl internet network - a real challenge, as its all pretty new technology (the scientific education was useful after all) -> I presently live in The Hague, and can be spotted on occasions going out in the city, and may even run into the odd old school colleagues, or even the odd BSN teacher if I go to the right pubs. drop me an email if you are in the area ! Nik Salina Nik Idris
[Class of 1987]
My name is Nik Salina Nik Idris. I went to BSN from 1977 - 1982 and left when I was Form 2. I went to the various schools of BSN from the primary to Junior and finally the Senior in Voorschoten. I am currently working in an investment holding company who's core business is stockbroking. I was previously working at the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and thus began my career in the line of Securities. I am currently the Manager of the Corporate Communications Dept. I am married with one son. I'm so excited that I found this old school page and hoping those who knew me back then can contact me at gcc@osk.com.my.

I realise I have not updated my email address for many years, so now is the time. Well, I survived last Saturday's BSN reunion fairly unscathed (unlike many!), probably because I had to go to work... yes work... the next morning. Not even the 90 m.p.h. gales could keep me from fulfiling my duty. It was great seeing old faces I hadn't seen in ages; old being the operative word since I had started noticing a wrinkle or two on some! Just a brief summary of my life since the BSN: went to McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where I somehow had the patience (or a cunning plan for avoiding the 'real world' for as long as possible) to complete 2 degrees. The first was a BA in English Literature, and the second a BMus in Composition. Last year I came to London where I have just completed an MMus in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music. So, fame and fortune as a film composer are just around the corner... I can feel it. In the mean time, I have taken up a job at the BBC which is providing me with some cash. I've decided to try out the job world before opting for plan B which is to find a very very rich man who is willing to give me money... I mean marry me out of love. My parents still live in The Hague, but have recently bought a house on a lake just outside Montreal, and will be retiring there next summer. I now live in west London and if anyone wants to catch up, and I hope they do, I can always be reached at this email address:

I left BSN in 1993 and moved to London. For those of you who have zero recollection as to who I am, the annoying Polish girl should probably spring to mind. After finishing school I went to Birmingham University to study mechanical engineering, in the meantime couldn't really decide as to what to do with my life so started a commerce degree. After graduating in both (I never really got round to dropping the engineering...) I worked for a while but then, as if I wasn't sad enough already, I went on to do my MBA. Having finally finished my education last September, I started working as an investment banker in the City of London and am still playing the game.... Please feel free to email, could be fun to catch up

I joined the BSN in Reception in 1998 at the grand age of 4. I left in 2006 (at the end of Year 7) to transfer to Het Rijnlands Lyceum, just down the road, for financial reasons. Weird to be called 'Class of 2013', but I am hoping that this will be a good way to keep in touch with the many good friends I have made (Geoff, Bora, Stephen, Gus...)and for us all to follow each other's progress through life.

I left BSN in 1983 after having attended from 1970 to study Mathematics at Imperial College in London. Following that I joined an audit firm to become a Chartered Accountant.˙ I transferred to Milan in 1989 and after having worked in accountancy and transportation have ended up in the fashion industry.˙ (Fairly predictable if you live in Milan).˙ I sometimes feel nostalgic about the old days so would love to hear from any of you. ˙

Keith and Gaynor Tong, John Cliff, still going strong? Well, congratulations. I left BSN in 1981; studied law at Cambridge; became a barrister in London; and published two novels--'This Is The Life' (Faber, 1991) and 'The Breezes' (Faber, 1995)--which I'm dismayed to note have yet to be taken up by the English department at BSN as essential reading for their students. Next year, a book of non-fiction about my jailbird grandfathers, 'Blood-Dark Track', will be published by Granta; I can report that it will probably include an exciting page or so about what it was like to go to BSN in the late 70s/early80s. I'm still in touch with Philip Hughes (married to Vanessa, 2 great kids), Simona Sideri (living in London) and my brother David (class of 83: married, kid on the way, living in London, chartered accountant in the City) and sister Elizabeth (class of 88?: barrister employed by Freshfields in London). Any sign of Richard Hewitt? Rieks Drijver? Peter Thompson? Diana Baxter? I am currently living in New York with my wife, Sally Singer, and son Malachy (born 3 September 1999).

Hi! This is great...reading up on all those people I used to know. I wasn't even aware that this Web page existed until Kate de Villiers pointed it out to me (after 8 yrs!!). Yes, I left the BSN in 1991 to do a BA in Modern European Studies at University College London. After that I spent a year in Brussels doing a traineeship with the European Commission - following that, I decided to do an MSc in Political Economy of Transition in (Eastern) Europe at the London School of Economics. I then decided to actually do some work and joined an investment bank in London for almost a year and left to go and work for Oracle (IT company) as a 'euro expert.' I'm still living in London (e-mail: alexiao@hotmail.com) and am in touch with Karen Hennessy, Kate de Villiers and Mivy James from the BSN. My brother, Damian O'Sullivan, left in 1987 to study Industrial Design at Brunel University in England. After that he did an MA Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art and was offered a job working for Philips as a designer in Holland. He stayed with them for 4yrs, but has now left to do freelance work, while teaching design. He has won several design competitions, which has led him to work with the French fashion house, Hermes and has won him a landmark on the Holland Park roundabout in London (The Thames Water Tower - Water Barometer).

I started at BSN (Assen) in 1986 when I was 7. I left when I was 10. If I'm correct, I was about completing the 5th grade when I left. I went back home to Nigeria and went on to high school (secondary school). I'm now in New York at the State University of New York at New Paltz, going on to my senior year (4th year). I'm majoring in Electrical engineering. I can't remember the names of most people that were at the school when I was there, but a few names that I know are David Cole, Heather Cole and Sezen Madison. If you remember me, please drop a line.

I left the BSN for the States in the middle of '93 and would have graduated in '97. I went to high school in America and graduated early from Syracuse University (yeah, I'd never heard of it either) in New York state where I studied International Relations and English. Right now I'm living in Washington, DC (awesome city, beautiful parks, great night life. highly reccomend) with an internship at one of the thousand NGO's they've got here. I'll be here till the end of 2000, then I'm going back to South Africa to be a game ranger for a while. I hadn't really thought about the old school in forever, I haven't been back to the Netherlands since, until this morning and then I found this site on the Web. Figured 'why not' and here I am.
